Conflicts and their management in an intercultural context Online webinar with Heike Kauls Direct link to the keynote: https://youtu.be/jreRBoN8H1g Course description (PDF): https://bit.ly/3FrbtU1 Contrary to the popular belief that conflicts are bad or should be avoided, they are part of human coexistence. Even more: they are necessary for our personal development! That is, conflicts themselves are not a problem. The way we deal with them - including personal previous experiences and behavioral patterns - determines whether they are solved constructively or have a destructive effect. A special feature are intercultural conflicts, which you often have to deal with abroad. They arise from different basic attitudes and values about what is perceived as “normal” in your own culture and in which you currently live. Since one only gets to know the rules and customs of another culture over time, these differences cannot initially be taken into account, so that one or the other conflict is unavoidable. Target groups: For MAP, expats, diplomats Course Objectives: 1. Recognize and experience the meaningfulness of conflicts 2. Understand and expand the ability to deal with conflict as a competence 3. Process conflicts in a resource- and solution-oriented manner 4. Develop an understanding of the connection between conflict levels Heike Kauls - Coach EASC Coaching | Conflict moderation | policy advice
